about

2020 was the year when breath took centre stage.

From the coronavirus to black lives matter - the most basic of human functions became the defining expression of everything.

The song celebrates the power of breath and the right to breathe in an increasingly suffocating world.

Remix of '21st Century Man' by John Robb and Simon 'Ding' Archer at 6db Studios, Salford.

Original track appears on the album “What Nature Gives... Nature Takes Away” (Cherry Red Records Rel. 2019)

The Membranes Manchester, UK

Formed in 1978 in Blackpool, UK, The Membranes are post-punk originators who were part of the same world as bands like Joy Division, Bauhaus & The Fall.
